The tip blends progressively into the butt section where the power is stored for those bigger specimens.

The BlackRock Akita Pro Power Boat 20 makes a very nice rod for wreck drifting with lures. The light weight makes it a pleasure to hold during a full days fishing and it has the power in the bottom end to help you control and land hard fighting pollock.
